Abstract
This conference will focus on the moduli space of surface group representations in Lie groups, and studying the geometric and spectral properties of random Riemann surfaces and their covers. Higher Teichmuler theory combines methods from minimal surfaces, non-Abelian Hodge correspondence, and dynamics, to explores surface group representations in higher rank semisimple Lie groups. On the other hand, the theory of random Riemann surfaces aims to identify and compute quantities which behave tamely in the setting of various random models.
This will be a four days conference. It brings together leading experts in low dimensional geometry, dynamics, and probability. Each distinguished speaker is expected to deliver a lecture in the conference. Beside the invited speakers, the participants of the conference will be graduate students and young postdocs from China. This event is expected to provide them with a comprehensive learning experience.
