Located on the southernmost tip of Hainan Island in the South China Sea, Sanya is a beautiful tourist hub with almost 50km of coastline. It is well-known for its pristine white sand beaches, warm temperatures, clear blue sea, abundant seafood, and fascinating local culture in Asia. it has also been called Tianya Haijiao, which means "the end of the sky and ocean" or "the end of the earth."

Sanya Tsinghua Mathematics Forum Management Center is a legal entity under the Sanya Municipal Government approved by Sanya City. Tsinghua Sanya International Mathematics Forum is an international conference center initiated by Tsinghua University and Sanya City, Hainan Province, on the initiative of Professor Shing-Tung Yau, an internationally renowned mathematics master. The main mission of the center is to provide a high-level academic exchange platform for mathematicians, other scientists and their research teams at home and abroad, to provide services for academic exchanges, development of scientific and technological innovation, and training of innovative professionals.
